Online academic material is often digitally shelved within desktops and harddrives, and once submitted, never to be read again. Submitting my dissertation via the click of a button did not feel representative of both the workload and sentimentality I felt for the work, thus resulting in my decision to create a physical copy for print. Enjoying research-based approaches, I acquired a surplus of sources which functioned as puzzle pieces in forming the written outcome.

Creating a physical copy provides an opportunity to display not only the written work, but also the research process that forms the foundation of the text. This book, alongside the full dissertation, displays academic texts in a way that mimics the chaos of a mid-essay-desktop, and is followed by an image log that captures the significant roots of the process which typically remains unseen.

References are purposefully indented into the main copy, signifying the importance of these pre-existing works in the writing of the dissertation.
